Past Me vs. Current Me vs. Future Me

Current Me vs. Future Me is a self-reflection and visualization exercise that I learned from Lavendaire. The idea is to draw your current self as you are today versus what you would like to see in your future self. By becoming aware of the differences between your current self and your future self, you can start to close the gaps. I absolutely loved this exercise and highly recommend it. In fact, I plan to repeat the process each year going forward. Since this was my first time doing this exercise, I decided to put a little twist on it because I wanted to also reflect on my past self and how far I've come in the past several months.

Have you ever done this exercise? If so, please let me know in the comment section below!

  1. I am tempted to try it on myself, but I am afraid that my divided past will affect the present (before I started to work I was someone else and I miss this self-image, work in mental healthcare, disturbed my own mental health to such point that I am afraid of having to work again).

    1. Perhaps you can try this exercise when you feel more ready. I felt like I lived two different lives when I was still working full-time, and I wasn't ready to confront how I truly felt about myself until just recently. If you haven't tried meditation, I highly recommend it--it's helped me so much on a mental and emotional level. x
