TIMELINE

Jul 21/20: Algaonema 002 joins our family! Since Algaonema 001 seemed to be doing well in our home, I decided to pick up a different variety of Algaonema. This one is called Sparkling Sarah. I’ve seen this plant in person a few times before and I’ve always been drawn to the pink stems — it’s such a pretty and fun colour.

Aug 3/20: I think I’m starting to develop a spidey sense with houseplants. It was telling me that Algaonema 002 needed to be re-potted, so I took it out of its nursery pot, and it was indeed rather pot bound! I moved it into a 5.5-inch clay pot and it seems to be doing really well in there.
