Three months to book launch

I'm planning to release my book in exactly three months. This is thrilling and has me feeling excited, happy, and grateful. But if I’m being completely honest, I'm also terrified. My days have been peppered with second-guessing and self-doubt. Sometimes I want to shelve my book altogether, but it’s sooooo close to being done. I know self-sabotage is trying to stop me.

So I press on. I work on my book every day, sometimes for many hours. I think about it all the time. And I’m seeing tons of progress. Right now, I’m at the proofing stage but I’m still making some significant changes (you can watch my weekly book progress updates here).

A couple months ago, I mentioned my pre-launch bingo card and I haven’t forgotten about it. The good news: I’ve done stamped a bunch of squares! But I’m kinda cheating, because I’ve decided not to do much pre-launch promotion at all.

Instead, I’m going to launch my book quietly, and then decide what I want to do about promotion. Partly because I feel weird hyping up a book that’s not done yet. But mostly because I still have so much on my book to-do list that I need to save my limited brain power.

I want to take the next three months to create the best book I can. Then I’ll promote it.

So here’s my bingo card progress. I have a line already but I’ll try for 80% of the card since my social media strategy for IG, FB, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn is no strategy at all. I’ll think about posting on these platforms when the book is out. But I made a decision, so I get a stamp! 😅
