TURMERIC MILK
Adapted from The Minimalist Baker’s recipe.
Ingredients
For the turmeric spice mix:
- 4 tablespoons ground turmeric 
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger 
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 
- ½ teaspoon white pepper (optional) 
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional) 
- ⅛ teaspoon ground clove (optional) 
For the turmeric milk:
- 1 heaped teaspoon turmeric milk mix 
- 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup 
- 2 teaspoons hot water 
- 1 cup milk 
Makes 1 serving of turmeric milk (with lots of spice mix remaining for future servings).
Method
- To make the turmeric spice mix, add all ingredients to a small jar and shake or stir thoroughly to combine. 
- To make turmeric milk, add turmeric milk mix, honey or maple syrup and hot water to a small saucepan. 
- Whisk to combine. 
- Add milk and warm over medium heat until just hot but not boiling, whisking a few times every now and then. 
- Pour into a mug and enjoy while still warm. 
Notes
- You can substitute ground black pepper for white pepper. 
- I usually use oat or almond milk but you can use any milk you wish.
